Your Spouse Had an Affair

You discover your spouse is having an affair and you have decided your marriage is over.  You decide to hire the toughest lawyer available in hopes of eviscerating your cheating spouse in open court.

Won’t happen.  Our overburdened courts will not punish that spouse for being an adulterer.   Not in this era.  You should concentrate instead on obtaining a fair settlement of your custody, support and property division issues.  This can be done in mediation more easily than in court, the difference being that you will control the outcome, not a judge who, however well-intentioned, is still a stranger to you and your family.
